Returning light engine to Guildford after hauling the RCTS/LCBG “Midhurst Belle” railtour. Signal box “A” can be seen on the left, a semaphore home signal on the right. Route was 9.30 am Waterloo, Woking, Guildford, Christ’s Hospital, Midhurst, Littlehampton, Preston Park, Kemp Town, Brighton, Victoria. Loco was withdrawn 9/7/1967 and eventually came to the Bluebell Railway in 1971. It is preserved but has been awaiting a major overhaul for many years. It has been displayed in its wartime guise of WD-1959
