BR(S) Schools class 30926 ‘Repton’ & BR(S) M7 class 30053 at Eastleigh Shed, Hampshire on Sunday 16 Jan 1966 – J. Scrace [140378]

In store awaiting shipment to Steamtown in the USA. There is an M7 further down the track; this may be 30053 which also went to Steamtown for a period. The Schools has sacking tied around the chimney and nameplates are removed. It had been withdrawn on 30/12/1962, but was saved for preservation, initially moving to Steamtown in the USA in April 1967. It returned to the UK in 1989 and is now operational on the NYMR
